Problem
While working as a UX Designer at IBM, I saw how much our consultants struggled with converting documents into different formats. Our research showed that consultants were wasting too much time reformatting documents instead of doing their actual work.
When we talked to consultants and watched them work, we found three main problems:
They spent too much time on basic formatting tasks instead of focusing on important strategic work
Their documents looked different across various platforms and formats
They had trouble making content that was both engaging and followed IBM's brand rules
Understanding these problems helped us to improve Lighthouse. We made it automatic but still gave consultants control over their work. We built a simple, easy-to-use tool that helps transform documents while keeping the consultant's expertise and ideas intact.
In the end, we created something that helps everyone: consultants save time, and the community get better quality work.
